Oh, how amiable are thy dwellings, thou Lord of Hosts! My soul hath a desire and longing to enter into the courts of the Lords : yeah, my heart and my flesh rejoice in the Living God. For whist I behold the felicity of the chosen, who now feast with thee in the kingdom and are satisfied with the plenteousness of the house, even of the holy temple, and drink of the pleasures as out of the river, my soul also is athirst for God, yea, even for thee, the living God: when shall I come to appear before the presence of God? I am weary of a life full of so many mysteries and sorrows. Who will give me wings like a dove, that I may flee away and be at rest?
